The big Easter egg hunt on the farm
Easter Festivities
It was a bright spring day and all the farm animals were looking forward to Easter. One farm animal was particularly happy: and that was Noah, our rabbit.
On that spring morning, Noah opened his eyes and jumped out of his nest! For Noah, the greatest and most exciting day of the year!
Noah set out at dawn to hide all the beautifully painted eggs. He couldn't wait to surprise everyone with the hidden Easter eggs. When the sun was higher in the sky, the farm animals gathered in the large square and Noah took over the floor:
"Good morning! Isn't it a wonderful day? Today is Easter! We've already decorated the yard together and painted the Easter eggs. Now it's time for the greatest task: the egg hunt! This morning I got our beautifully painted eggs from Eva, our chicken, hidden.”
"That sounds like a lot of fun, Noah! I can't wait to get started," Monti said impatiently.
"Yes, that will definitely be fun! I've never searched for Easter eggs before - how exciting!" the mare Emma chimed in.
“I'm glad...then we don't want to wait any longer. 3… 2… 1… the search can begin!” shouted Noah with joy.
Monti, the curious dog, started sniffing around full of excitement. Her keen nose quickly led her to a good Easter egg hidden behind the chicken coop.
“Woooow, here’s an Easter egg! I found it! It has so many different colors and it looks like a little work of art.”
The surprise
The other animals came over curiously and admired the Easter egg that Monti had found. But Monti wasn't finished yet. With a watchful eye and a wiggling tail, she continued to search.
Suddenly Monti discovered another lead. She followed her through the yard, past flowerbeds and stables and beyond the fences, until she finally stopped in front of an old tree trunk.
"I think there are more eggs hidden here! Let's look for them!" remarked Monti.
The other animals followed Monti's trail and searched together around the tree trunk. And sure enough, under a hidden branch they discovered a whole collection of colorful eggs. Monti nudged the eggs with her nose because one Easter egg particularly caught the curious dog's eye. The brown egg that seemed to have fur. And in fact! The little egg started to move, it suddenly sat up, raised its head... and then a friendly but visibly sleepy hedgehog looked at them.
“Gooood mooorning.. oh! Who are you then? Wow, that's bright! “I was just in my hibernation!” said the little hedgehog in amazement. He still narrowed his eyes because the sun was blinding him.
And so the farm animals noticed that there were not only Easter eggs in the hiding place, but also a little hedgehog who was just waking up from his hibernation.
"Hello little hedgehog, how nice that you woke up! We are currently celebrating Easter. Do you know this festivity?"
"Oh, sorry, I slept so deeply that I didn't notice that spring had come. Easter... sure, how exciting! ... However, I need to warm up and regain my strength after my long hibernation. But I'm coming “I’d love to add it a little later,” said the little hedgehog.
The little hedgehog explained to the farm animals that hedgehogs go into hibernation in the fall to conserve their strength during the cold season. All the farm animals listened spellbound to his story about hibernation. Monti was very surprised that the little hedgehog voluntarily wanted to miss the winter because she loves to run through the snow and play with it. But oh well, thought the young dog and couldn't help but smile.
The common celebration
"It's great that you woke up in time to celebrate Easter with us, little hedgehog!" said the friendly mare.
The little hedgehog was also happy that he woke up in time to celebrate Easter with his new friends. He let his new friends look for the remaining eggs, warmed himself up in the spring sun and enjoyed the start of the spring season together.
And so a wonderful day on the farm came to an end. With her nose, Monti not only found Easter eggs, but also a new friend.
And so our story ends for today. The big Easter adventure at La Ferme Bergamote was a complete success and the animals were happy to welcome a new member to their community.
