My Founder Story
I'm Yasmin, the founder of La Ferme Bergamote. I've always loved nature, animals, design, and fabrics. My own slow fashion brand embodies my dreams.
I've been dreaming about it for years – ever since college. But the right "idea" never came to me. Until my son was born and grew at lightning speed.
At the time, I was working for one of the largest fast fashion brands in the world – and they, of course, had a size for every small growth step. I wanted to change that.
And so La Ferme Bergamote was born at my kitchen table in Zurich.

After my first sketches, I traveled through Europe with my very young baby – looking for family-run production studios and fabrics and fibers that are timeless.
The Farm Girl
For as long as I can remember, I've wanted a dog. I've been riding horses since I could walk.
2001-2010
I wanted to spend every moment of my childhood outdoors. With my dog, my animals, and on horseback. Of course, there were no iPhones, no internet yet—the first Game Boys were just coming out, but they didn't interest me too much either. The only thing that mattered was the stable atmosphere, racing, and climbing the tallest trees.
1999
Our first family dog, Capper, came to us in 1999. Wow, he was a little stubborn and veeeery greedy. But he taught me so much. Even as a little girl, I was allowed to take on responsibility and have the best playmate.
2021
My first dog, Monti, is my everything. I love every day with her, and she inspires me with all my farm stories and adventures. Because with her, it's never boring.
2023
La Ferme Bergamote is a place that lives in my dreams. It resembles the farm I grew up next to, and it's a place I want to see in the future.
From dream to own brand
La Ferme Bergamote went live in November 2023 – with exactly four products. The first linen collection was launched in summer 2024.
This brand is my third baby, alongside my dog and my son. I appreciate every bit of support, value every customer opinion, and love the exchange.
Never stop dreaming
Maybe one day I'll wake up on my own "La Ferme Bergamote."
