My first dog found fox cubs in the forest next to our house. We brought them to the farm, right on the edge of the forest, where I was allowed to care for a donkey and a pony. We raised the fox cubs in the wonderful old farmhouse, and as soon as they were big enough, they were allowed back into the forest.

In addition to the foxes, we also raised countless fawns, had a small lake with a family of ducks and, of course, the horses.

Every day after school I would run to the yard with my dog ​​and help wherever I could.

Once in the summer, we were allowed to spend the night in the straw—among the donkeys and horses, among bats and little birds. I loved it, and the memories are so deeply ingrained in me that I'd like to share them.

The initial idea for La Ferme Bergamote was already connected to the La Ferme Stories. Therefore, each piece features a farm animal embroidered on it. These animals come to life in the stories – inspired by my childhood.
