The anticipation of Easter: together we are strong
Noah's idea
A fresh spring morning is dawning at La Ferme Bergamote, and the animals on the farm are excited about the upcoming Easter. Because this year the festival takes place very early and therefore the farm animals have to hurry with the preparations.
One farm animal is particularly excited and that is Noah, our bunny. He loves Easter. And so he jumps around the yard and spreads the anticipation for Easter and at the same time has great ideas for the preparations.
On the spring morning in question, the little bunny jumped across the yard full of energy because he had decided to gather all his friends and tell them about his Easter idea.
His round started at the cowshed and so he called out to his friend Clementine: “Clementine, did you know, Easter is already in two weeks! Please come to our courtyard, I would like to tell everyone about my ideas!”
Clementine looked up with a sleepy look and started to smile. “A great idea, I’ll be there!” she said.
Elated by her positive answer, Noah hopped on and on his way he met Monti, the dog, Emma, the horse, Léo, the tomcat and Émile, the drake. He told everyone that he had an idea for Easter and that they should come to the courtyard.
When Noah saw all the friends he had met in the courtyard, he jumped in the air for joy. He was excited by his friends' willingness to listen to his ideas and so he began to share his ideas: “Good morning, my dear friends! Since Easter will take place so early this year, I would like to use the time today to prepare everything for the celebration. I think it would be great if we painted and hidden eggs. What do you think if we collect the eggs from Ella, our chicken, and then paint them with great colors? We could also collect flowers and hang garlands to decorate the yard."
The other animals are enthusiastic about Noah's idea and immediately get to work. They decide to collect the eggs from Ella the chicken first.
The egg hunt
Emma especially loves painting, so she said, “Oh, that sounds like a wonderful idea, Noah! I'm going to go and see Ella right now and ask if we can have her eggs."
Monti joined in: “I’m coming with you, Emma!”
Léo the cat replied: "I'll look for some nice branches to make garlands. And on the way I'll also look for flowers. That'll look great!". Together the animals make their way to Ella, the chicken .
Monti knocked on Ella's chicken coop door and said: “Good morning dear Ella, how are you? Noah was already jumping around the yard this morning full of anticipation for Easter and suggested that we collect and paint eggs for Easter. Do you think we could have some of your amazing balls?”
Ella smiled softly and replied, "That's a nice idea, but of course you can have some of my eggs!" I am happy that they will be part of your Easter celebration. One moment please!"
Ella collected the most beautiful eggs from her nest and gave them to Monti and Emma. The two thanked Ella and took the eggs back to their stable. In the stable they had picked out all the colors they have in the stable. And so Emma, Monti and Noah painted the eggs in the most beautiful patterns.
When Noah saw all the bright colors, he had a mischievous little idea. He took his brush and whoosh, painted Monti's nose with a little red. Monti had to laugh: "eyyyy Noah, that tickles!" the dog giggled and so she grabbed her painting brush and painted the tips of Noah's ears a bright orange.
Monti and Noah looked at themselves in the mirror and then had to laugh when they saw their colored noses and ears. Emma giggled happily and said to herself, “The two!” And so everyone continued to paint their eggs in the most beautiful patterns.
Léo the cat came back into the stable with the most beautiful branches and announced: “I found great branches for our garland and was even able to pick some beautiful flowers on the way.”
And so the farm animals tied the branches together and decorated them with the beautiful flowers. Finally, they were able to hang the garlands together and hide the painted Easter eggs.
An evening together
The sun was already low on the horizon when the animals were able to complete the final preparations for Easter. They proudly look at their work and look forward to the upcoming celebration.
As night fell, the animals sat around a warm fire and told each other stories of past Easters and their adventures on the farm.
The next morning the animals woke up with a feeling of anticipation. Easter is almost here and they can't wait to celebrate the holiday together.
And so our story ends for today. The animals on the farm have shown how important cooperation and preparation are in order to have a wonderful celebration
